According to Adam Zagoria, 2016 point guard Bryce Aiken has cut his list to Illinois, Miami, USC, Harvard, Michigan, and Seton Hall. The 5'9 New Jersey native is rated as a four-star recruit (No. 83) overall by 247Sports.Illinois' priorities at this position appear to be Charlie Moore (IL) and Xavier Simpson (OH), but Aiken is giving the program a serious look. Hopefully John Groce will be able to get him on campus sometime in the next month or so.

The Princeton Review has named the University of Illinois the No. 1 party school in the nation. The school has consistently placed in the top five over the past several years, but this is the first time they've topped the list.Of course, the school isn't too thrilled about being associated with #fun things. University spokeswoman Robin Kaler told the Chicago Tribune that she was bothered by the ranking. Illinois has offered a scholarship to 2018 point guard Courtney Ramey. The St. Louis area prospect is in Champaign on Sunday for an unofficial visit.Coaches from Mizzou, Iowa, and St. Louis were also scouting the 6'1 guard during the evaluation periods this Summer.
Four-star 2016 point guard Xavier Simpson (OH) has narrowed his list to Illinois, Iowa, Purdue, Xavier, Iowa State, VCU, and Pittsburgh. It was rumored that the 5'11 guard was down to six schools, but he's evidently cut Texas Tech while adding the Boilermakers and Rams.Simpson will be taking his first visit to Ames, IA to check out the Cyclones and he's also looking to visit Illinois and Iowa in August. No Illini made USA Today's Top 50 College Basketball Players this year. However, Kris Dunn (Providence) came in 4th, and George Niang (Iowa State) came in 6th. Illinois could face both Providence and Iowa State in the non conference season.
