Illinois tight end Tip Reiman announced his intentions Tuesday to enter the 2024 NFL Draft, foregoing his final year of college eligibility.
The 6-foot-5, 270-pound junior started 28 games during his Illini career, putting together his best season in 2023 with 19 catches for 203 yards and three touchdowns.
He also transformed himself into a big, physical blocker that Barry Lunney and staff often relied upon in their offense, making him a potentially intriguing option for NFL teams.
Reiman joined the Illini program as a walk-on back in 2020 out of Rapid City, South Dakota. He quickly earned a scholarship from Bret Bielema’s staff shortly into their first season in 2021 and carved out a key role in the offense from that point forward.
