That was fancy, huh?

Touchdown Isaiah Williams...the quarterback?

Following a huge defensive stand near the end of the third quarter that resulted in a missed field goal by Northwestern, the Illini offense had a chance to give its team a fourth quarter lead, trailing 28-23.

They did just that, cashing in on a seven play, 73-yard drive on a trick play that saw wide receiver Isaiah Williams throw it back to his quarterback days and deliver a 14-yard touchdown pass to Pat Bryant.

It was the fifth touchdown pass of Williams’ career — the first since all the way back in 2020 when he played quarterback for the Illini.

Illinois is currently clinging to a 31-28 lead, looking to clinch bowl eligibility with a victory.
