Plummer averaged 13.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and one assist on 38.3% shooting from behind the arc last season.
A Puerto Rican native, Plummer played two seasons at Arizona Western College before joining the Utes. He will have one season of eligibility with Illinois.
Arguably the best game in his career came against Oregon State in the Pac-12 Tournament when he poured in 35 points on 11-of-16 shooting from deep.
The Illini now await Trent Frazier’s Saturday decision, as well as announcements from Kofi Cockburn, Da’Monte Williams and possibly an Adam Miller reunion.
