Illinois catapults to No. 12 in most recent AP Poll

The Illini made the most over their only opportunity last week to move up the rankings (and Big Ten conference standings).

With Saturday’s victory over No. 8 Iowa, Illinois climbs to No. 12 in Monday’s AP Poll. The Illini get two more chances this week to improve their record. On Tuesday, they’ll travel to Bloomington to take on the Hoosiers before returning home to square off against No. 19 Wisconsin on Saturday.

Other Big Ten teams that cracked the top-25 include: No. 4 Michigan, No. 7 Ohio State, and No. 24 Purdue.
