For the second time in three games, Chase Brown eclipsed over 200 yards rushing. Also for the second time in three weeks, Brown was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week to show for it.
Even though Brown exited against Penn State with an injury — head coach Bret Bielema does not expect it to force him to miss time — he still finished with 223 yards and a touchdown on 33 carries.
Brown set the record for most yards by an opposing player at Beaver Stadium in history. The games marks his fourth career 100-yard game and second 200-yard game of the season — the first time any Illini has done that since Rashard Mendenhall in 2007.
And the Illini legend gave a shoutout to the Western Michigan transfer.
That’s ridiculous young man!!! Congratulations on your accomplishments‼️ Keep your spirits up+++ Keep the fight Alive!!! +—//—||| https://t.co/HAdh6CGnV8
