Nate Hobbs declares for NFL Draft

Hobbs was an anchor in the Illini secondary the past few years.

Nate Hobbs, a four-year starter for the Illini at cornerback, has officially declared for the NFL Draft per his Instagram page.

The Louisville native was an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention selection by the media after his junior year and amassed over 160 tackles, three interceptions and forced two fumbles during his time with the Illini.

In Illinois’ two biggest wins of the 2019 season, Hobbs combined for 14 tackles and 2.0 tackles for loss in victories over Michigan State and No. 6 Wisconsin.
