Illini great Meyers Leonard is heading to the NBA Finals.

While Leonard has rode the bench most of the Miami Heat’s run to the championship series, he has made his name well known for his antics on the pine. Leonard has only appeared in one postseason game and played nine minutes. He was traded from Portland last year.

Former Illini Kendrick Nunn is also on the Heat. Nunn ended his college career at Oakland and finished second in Rookie of the Year voting this season behind the Grizzlies’ Ja Morant.

The Heat will take on the Los Angeles Lakers starting this week. Best of luck to the former Illini!
