Missouri wide receiver Khmari Thompson announced his decision to transfer to Illinois on Monday morning in a tweet.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound wideout played three games as a freshman in 2018 in Columbia, but redshirted his sophomore season with an injury.
According to 247’s Jeremy Werner, Illinois WR coach Andrew Hayes-Stoker led the Illini’s recruiting pitch.
His Missouri Athletics page also said Thompson was on the Tigers’ track team.
Despite redshirting his sophomore season, it seems likely Thompson would still have to sit out the 2020 season and then have probably two years of eligibility remaining. It’s all weird. We’ll see.
