If you weren’t already excited enough for this team, House of ‘Paign just announced the addition South Dakota State alum Mike Daum to this summer’s The Basketball Tournament circuit.

At 6-foot-9, 235 pounds, Daum adds much-needed frontcourt depth to complement guys like Leron Black and Nnanna Egwu. A three-time Summit Conference Player of the Year and four-time First-Team All-Conference selection, Daum is widely considered one of the best scorers in NCAA history. The Nebraskan posted averages of 23+ points three times in his collegiate career, including junior and senior seasons with 10.3 and 11.7 rebounds per game, respectively. As a 41% three-point shooter, he’s also not afraid to step outside and light it up from behind the arc. He became just the 10th player in NCAA history to eclipse the 3,000-point mark back in February of last year.

After going undrafted last year, Daum signed a summer league contract with the Portland Trail Blazers. He now plays overseas with Monbus Obradoiro of the Liga ACB.
