TBT tips off July 4, field announced next week

We thought we’d have to wait more than another month for sports, but we’re just weeks away at this point.

The Basketball Tournament (TBT), which we expect Illinois’ alumni team, House of ‘Paign, to compete in will tip off July 4.

The 24-team tournament will air live on ESPN from Columbus, Ohio, and be played over 11 days, from July 4 to 14.

The field will be announced next Tuesday, per TBT’s Twitter.

While House of ‘Paign isn’t a lock to make it, we quote tweeted TBT’s tweet with eyeballs, and they liked it.
