Make that the fifth addition for the Illini in the past week. Three-star cornerback Daniel Edwards out of Winter Park, Fla., announced his decision to join Illinois’ 2021 recruiting class early Thursday evening.

Edwards joins fellow three-stars Sedarius McConnell and Trevor Moffitt as 2021 pledges to commit since May 14th, the most momentum for Illinois on the recruiting trail in several months.
At 5-foot-11, 155 pounds, Edwards is listed as a top-1000 recruit in the country according to 247Sports and also held offers from Auburn, Louisville, Miami, and Purdue.
