OSU’s COVID outbreak led to the cancelation.

NCAA Football: Illinois at Rutgers Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

Illinois’ game on Saturday against No. 4 Ohio State has been canceled due to a coronavirus outbreak inside the Buckeyes’ program.

The game will be ruled a no-content. It will not be rescheduled.

The cancelation is Illinois’ (2-3) first of the season, and OSU’s second. The Buckeyes (4-0) are one cancelation from not qualifying for the Big Ten Championship game.
