There is now a new leader in single game rushing yards by a QB in Illini history. Isaiah Williams has broken the record previously held by AJ Bush in his first career start.
The redshirt freshman has tallied 189 yards rushing against Rutgers as he tries to will Illinois to its first win of the season.

Williams, a St. Louis native, scored the Illini’s first touchdown of the game on the ground and has impressed in his return from the Covid-19 contact tracing list.
The Illini and Rutgers are tied at 20 with three minutes to play.
