Mizzou wins coin flip, will host Braggin’ Rights

One month away.

NCAA Basketball: Missouri vs Illinois Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Braggin’ Rights will be in Columbia, Missouri, this year.

Mizzou won the coin flip Thursday night to earn the right to host this year’s rivalry game against Illinois on Dec. 12.

The neutral-site clash is usually held in St. Louis, but this season’s showdown was going to take place on one of the schools’ campuses due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This will be the first time since 1979 that Braggin’ Rights will be contested in an on-campus arena, but the game will still have a “neutral” feel — neither Mizzou nor Illinois will have fans in attendance.

The Illini lead the all-time series 32-18, but have lost the last two meetings. Time to get that trophy back!
