Illinois starting QB Brandon Peters is out for 21 days after a positive coronavirus test.
According to DIA, Peters and redshirt-freshman tight end Griffin Moore will be out until at least Nov. 21 against Nebraska.
A news release said contact tracing also sidelined several other players for Saturday’s game and next week’s game against Minnesota.
A handful of other players are out for Saturday’s game, including backup QB Isaiah Williams. That means Purdue will likely see a heavy dose of Matt Robinson and Coran Taylor.
