Illinois alum James Holzhauer competing on Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time

Go Illini!

ABC’s “Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time”

James Holzhauer stole our hearts last year when he became arguably the greatest Jeopardy! player of all-time.

Now, the Naperville native and Illinois alum is trying to earn his title in Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time.

In a three-night network television event, Holzhauer, Brad Rutter and Ken Jennings are competing for who is the best Jeopardy! contestant of all time.

Holzhauer graduated from Naperville North High School in the early 2000s and then went to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He graduated with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics in 2005.

But we didn't know his name until 2019 when he competed on Jeopardy! and won a combined total of $2,714,416 in 33 appearances, plus $250,000 in the Tournament of Champions.

So, it’s time for Jeopardy James to show what he’s got. Make us proud!
