A loss to EMU spoils Illinois’ perfect season and its opportunity to crack the top-25.

No surprise here. After Illinois dropped its last non-conference game of the schedule to Eastern Michigan this past weekend, the Illini are still on the outside looking in at SB Nation’s top 25.

Seven Big Ten teams made the list again. This time no Nebraska, though. And welcome, Maryland!

This list hasn’t shaken up too much, but now with almost everyone in conference play, the real fun begins. Pick up wins over Nebraska and Minnesota, and maybe the Illini are in contention for a top-25 ranking.
