Class of 2020 four-star running back, Reggie Love, announced his commitment to the Illinois via Twitter on Sunday.

With his verbal pledge, the Illini now have two commits in the 2020 class, with Simeon offensive lineman Marcus Harper being the first on April 7.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pounder is a product of Trinity Catholic High School, home of current Tight Ends Coach Cory Patterson and class of 2019 signees Isaiah Williams and Shammond Cooper.

Love held offers from Iowa, Penn State, Purdue, Tennessee and Wisconsin, among others, and was ranked as the No. 337 best player in the country for his class and the 22nd-best running back in the country.

He was also on hand for an unofficial visit this past weekend with fellow 2020 recruits and some of the 2019 class’ signees.

Love will join current Illinois running backs Ra’von Bonner, Jakari Norwood, Kenyon Sims, Mike Epstein, Nick Fedanzo, and Kyron Cumby in the backfield in 2020.
