We asked, and you answered…
So we’ve got what you, the fans, felt were the best moments of the 2018-19 athletic year!
Even though the revenue sports (being men’s football and basketball) were #lessthanideal, there were still plenty of successes on and off the court.
Ohio State was a huge win for men’s basketball. Good on ya, Dan.
The Ohio St b-ball win. First big road win in a long time....and the Mich St win at home wasn’t horrible either

From the football season, how could we forget Reggie Corbin’s breakout year? He rushed for over 1,000 yards on fewer carriers than other B1G backs like Jonathan Taylor. Oh, and have we mentioned he will be staying another year? We love you, Reggie.

Were you at Atkins for this big tennis W?

Oh, and there was a pretty big home win for the men’s basketball team. You might remember that MSU was in the Final Four this year, but we took ‘em down.

We can’t forget how Chris Tamas has continued to impress on the court AND on the recruiting trail :

Oh, and Mica Allison too. She’s probably going to be good.
Nancy Fahey and the Illini women’s team showed progress this season with a win over Minnesota early in the year...

...and let’s not forget how we fared against Minnesota this year.
Illinois is the only school to beat Minnesota in football, men's basketball and women's basketball this year.

I like what Professor Wolters had to say here. And I am not biased just because I had him senior year.
Seeing my students succeed in various Illini Sports made me the most proud. Go teams volleyball, tennis, golf, cheerleading, football, basketball, soccer, and so many more!

But the best of all -- at least, in my opinion -- is owned by the women of the volleyball court. Here’s to Beth Prince, Jordyn Poulter, Jacqueline Quade, Ali Bastianelli, and all the others who made a run to the Final Four possible. You rock.
