Tevian Jones appears to be eligible for Illinois’ game Saturday against Maryland.
“He will suit up.” said head coach Brad Underwood to the media Friday morning.
Jones was forced to sit out in the first eight games of the year due to academic reasons.
“I’m really proud of Tev,” Underwood said. “There is a lot more than being part of this than just the basketball side, you forget about the student side.”

It’ll be his first potential action this season due to a suspension. He scored 18 points in the Illini’s win over Maryland last season.
“He’s not what I would consider game shape,” Underwood said. “He’s in practice shape. He’s been on the treadmill and been doing extra workouts in terms of understanding what his condition needs to be.”
