Junior Brandi Beasley earned her 1,000th career point against the Spartans — the 30th Illini in Illinois history to do so.

Beasley led her team with a game-high of 15 points and redshirt-junior Cierra Rice put up 10 more points and added 4 assists.

January 24: Northwestern 64, Illinois 56

Freshman Aerial Scott and graduate student Sarah Shewan led the Illini by earning 12 points each. Scott also racked up eight rebounds on the night.

Beasley put up 11 points and added seven assists. Senior Alex Wittinger earned three blocks and eight points.

Illinois led Northwestern for most of the night, but couldn’t hold them off in the fourth quarter where the Cats started off with a 15-0 run — eventually earning the W.
