Congratulations to Illinois Director of Athletics Josh Whitman and his wife Hope who welcomed their second child to the world on Wednesday.
Whitman announced the birth of William Walter Whitman on Friday night. William and Hope are doing fine, according to the tweet.
Friends, meet the newest member of our #ILLINI family: William Walter Whitman. Born Wednesday! The blood runs strong through him! Mom and Baby Will are both doing great! #ProudDad #GratefulHusband pic.twitter.com/fnxSRFpSjd

Look at that cute kid! And all that hair! Also, WWW as initials. Bold move, as that is how Illinois hopes to spend its non-conference slate this season. Also, #WeWillWin, or #WWW. This man is dedicated.
Whitman welcomed his first daughter, Tate, a few years back, who doesn’t seem too jealous of having to share her parents with her baby brother.
Coming soon to an #ILLINI event near you: the Whitman Family Dangerous Duo! Tate loves her new brother...she and Will are going to be quite the formidable pair! #FortunateFamily pic.twitter.com/FJ8XRoBVOP

Whitman didn’t attend Big Ten Media Days this week, and for good reason.
And now there’s a newest member of Illini Nation! Congrats, Whitmans!
