Introducing the TCR GIF Tournament

Hello, and welcome to the first-ever TCR GIF Tournament. Over the next two weeks we’ll be running a single-elimination 32-GIF bracket with some of the best Illinois-themed GIFs on the Internet, which were carefully selected by your responses on Twitter and our staff (with a slight emphasis on Tim Beckman content)!

If you don’t see one of your favorite Illini GIFs over the next two weeks (*clears throat* Matic setting a screen for.... no one.), we’ll do this again in the future, with a whole new set of GIFs!

Remember how we do these tournaments? Of course you do! We ran our Greatest Illini Men’s Basketball Player Ever Tournament back in March!

Our 32 GIFs were separated into four regions: Coaches, Players, Games and Miscellaneous. Here’s the schedule!

The article with the polls and GIFs will be released at 9:00 a.m. every day during the tournament and polls will be open for 24 hours. The winning GIF will become the official GIF of TCR™️.
