Illinois added another big man to its 2018 class late Monday night when Giorgi Bezhanishvili committed, per a tweet from Adam Zagoria.

Bezhanishvili, who plays his high school ball at St. Patrick in New Jersey, visited Illinois this weekend, and his mother flew in from overseas for the visit as well.
At 6-foot-9, 230 pounds, Bezhanishvili adds much-needed size to the Illini. Forward Leron Black decided to turn pro and forward Michael Finke is transferring for his final season. The Illini already received a commitment from big man Samba Kane earlier in March.
