Illinois (3-6), Northern Illinois (2-8), Southern Illinois (7-5) and Murray State (5-8) matchup in Carbondale this weekend, hosted by SIU.
Illinois plays its first game on Friday at 10 a.m. against Northern Illinois. In their second game, at 2 p.m. on Friday, the Illini will take on Southern Illinois. This game will air on ESPN3. Saturday morning at 10 a.m. the Illini will face Murray State.
Saturday afternoon, seed 1 will play seed 4 at 2 p.m., with seed 2 versus seed 3 taking place at 4 p.m. The consolation game takes place Sunday at noon, with the championship occurring at 2 p.m., both airing on ESPN3.
Looking at the matchups for the weekend, Illinois should hopefully walk away with a 3-2 record at a minimum. This would put the Illini at anywhere between 6-8 and 8-6 leaving the weekend. After this weekend, Illinois’ schedule picks up with looming matchups against Mississippi State, Mizzou, and Fresno State.
