Three-star Illinois offensive lineman Evan Kirts signed with Illinois during the Early Signing Period on Wednesday.
The Oak Lawn product attended Brother Rice High School where he ranked as the 36th-best player in the state and the 128th-best lineman in the country.
Kirts is listed at 6-foot-5, 260 pounds, and he adds much-needed depth to a young offensive line. He has a large frame with good feet that promise a high upside for Kirts.
He also had offers from Illinois State, Ball State and Eastern Michigan, but chose to commit to the Illini back in November.
