Fedanzo is a 6-foot, 200-pound speedster out of Montini Catholic in Lombard, Illinois. He also held offers Ball State, Georgetown, Air Force and Kent State.
The Illinois native ranks as the 36th-best player in the state and the 94th-best running back in the country.
Fedanzo committed to the Illini this past June via Twitter.
I am beyond excited to announce that I am going to be continuing my academic and athletic career at the University of Illinois. I’d like to thank all of my coaches, family, and friends for helping me get to where I am today! #ILLGANG19 #B1G pic.twitter.com/A8eMNhlznb

The running back position has been a bright spot for the Illini the past few years, despite missing out on a bowl game for the sixth straight season. Mike Epstein has shown flashes, but has been kept off the field due to injuries. Reggie Corbin still has a decision to make regarding whether or not he plans to enter the NFL Draft after an impressive junior campaign. And outside of Ra’Von Bonner, no one else has seen significant play. Fedanzo will have as good of a chance as any to impress Rod Smith this offseason.
