Pulse of Illini Nation: How many more football wins?

There are some optimistic and some not-so-optimistic folks out there.

This weekend Illinois won its first Big Ten game in 700 days. Illini fans were elated, but it left many thinking: how will the season end? Will it be another 3-9 season like 2016? Or could they finally break the four- or five-win mark and get closer to that seemingly unreachable bowl game?

So, we decided to ask you:

Not shockingly, we got plenty of great responses.

Some people were more optimistic than others, predicting we could beat at least two or three more teams:

Some people I would classify as overly optimistic, seeing more than a trio of wins for the rest of the Big Ten season:

Not sure I see four or five wins coming. But, I respect the confidence.

A few others were a bit less optimistic and felt that the Illini would either finish the rest of the season winless or have less than three more wins:

I agree with this guy’s analysis of the schedule. Nebraska and Minnesota seem like the best places to get another win, and the others are going to be more of a long shot.

And it wouldn’t be The Champaign (read: GRAY) Room Twitter if we didn’t have a bit of humor in there as well:
