A surprising year for Illinois Soccer will continue.
The Illini defeated the Wisconsin Badgers, 2-2, with a 3-0 advantage in penalty kicks on Sunday afternoon in the Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinals.

This is Illinois’ first appearance in the semifinals since 2012.
Hope Breslin (friend of the pod) and Katie Murray (leading scorer) both struck in regulation for the Illini.
Illinois will face Penn State, the tournament’s No. 1 overall seed, in the semifinals on Friday.
