Illinois’ search for a 2019 basketball commitment will continue.
Four-star power forward EJ Liddell announced his commitment to Ohio State via Twitter on Monday. Liddell is ranked the top player in the class of 2019 in the state of Illinois, according to 247.
The 6-foot-7, 220-pound Belleville, Illinois, native included Illinois in his final three schools, as well as Missouri.
Liddell visited Illinois, along with Oscar Tshiebwe and Terrence Shannon Jr., last weekend during the Illinois and Penn State football game.
Illinois still has three open scholarships for the 2019 class.
