Illinois volleyball continued an undefeated start to Big Ten play Saturday night with a road win over the Northwestern Wildcats in the orange and blue-clad gymnasium at Evanston Township High School.
The Illini felt even more at home knowing the team’s student cheering section, Spike Squad, made the trip to up north.
Instead of Spike Squad arriving at the game as Illinois fans, the group showed up in purple, grey and black — Northwestern colors. Just before the start of the game, everyone ripped off their shirts and revealed their true identity.
