The Illini have been very proactive in trying to lure the former Curie (IL) High School star to Champaign. Nolley had an official visit to the University earlier this month and Illinois head coach Brad Underwood and his staff visited him at his Georgia house last week.
Nolley, who stands at 6-foot-4, can play the two or three and would be a perfect fit for Underwood’ run-and-gun offense.
Nolley is expected to announce his commitment on Oct. 7. He originally planned the announcement for Oct. 31, but he moved the date up Monday.
The Champaign Room talked to Nolley earlier this week. You can read his comments about possibly playing with fellow 2018 priority target Ayo Dosunmu and how he thinks he could fit in Underwood’s system here.
