After a successful run of over 1,500 episodes on the air over a seven year span, the Tay and J show will be expanding their on-air schedule at ESPN 93.5FM in Champaign. Radio host and publisher of IlliniInquirer.com Jeremy Werner will host a new show on weekday mornings from 9am to 11am. The Jeremy Werner Show will cover breaking news in the world of sports, as well as provide recruiting updates and insight to fans of the Fighting Illini. The show will also host interviews with former Illini players, coaches and staff.
The popular Tay and J show will now be the Tay and Carp show weekday afternoons. Mike Carpenter (former Tay and J producer and 200 level co-host) and Lon Tay will cover Illinois athletics and professional teams of local interest to the greater Champagin-Urbana area. With the new schedule and the addition of a new mid-morning show, the Tay and Carp show will run from 4-6 p.m.
Fans of the 200 Level will be excited to hear that both Mike Carpenter and Steve Breitwieser are returning for a second season starting August 28th. The guys will cover all things Illinois basketball from 6-7 p.m. on Monday nights throughout the course of the college basketball season.
You can listen to these shows live on the radio at 93.5FM in the Champaign-Urbana area, or check out Radio.com or the TuneIn Radio app to listen through your smartphone (like some of us do).
As friends and contributors to the Tay and J show, we here at The Champaign Room wish the guys at the station nothing but the best. We would also like to thank everyone at ESPN 93.5FM for being consummate professionals over the last seven years. We have enjoyed your work since day one and wish you all the best moving forward!
