Here’s everything you need to know about the 2017 Men’s NCAA Golf Tournament

Here’s a preview of the 2017 Men’s NCAA Tournament, hosted in Sugar Grove IL at Rich Harvest Farms.

Format/Event Schedule

Thursday May 25th - Practice Round

Friday May 26th - First Day of Stroke Play (18 Holes)

Saturday May 27th - Second Day of Stroke Play (18 Holes)

Sunday May 28th - Third Day of Stroke Play (18 Holes, Top 15 teams advance)

Monday May 29th - Final Day of Stroke Play (18 Holes, Top 8 teams advance)

Tuesday May 30th - Match Play Quarterfinal & Semifinal Rounds (18 holes each round)

Wednesday May 31st - Championship Round of Match Play (18 Holes)

Teams of five players will use the best four scores turned in each round. The combined team score will roll over into the next round of play during each round of stroke play. After the third round of stroke play, the Top 15 teams will advance to the final round of stroke play. Monday’s final round will determine the Top 8 teams advancing to the match play format. Teams will be seeded based on their overall score from the stroke play rounds, and the final two days of competition will be a single elimination tournament to determine the NCAA Team National Champion.


The NCAA individual National Champion will be determined over the course of the stroke play rounds. The best combined score over the four rounds of stroke play will be awarded with the NCAA Individual National Championship.

Monday May 29th - 4pm to 7pm CST

Tuesday May 30th - 10:30am to 12:30pm CST (Quarterfinals) 3:30pm to 7pm CST (Semifinals)

Wednesday May 31st - 3pm to 7pm CST (Finals)
