Illinois Golf travels to Robert Kepler Intercollegiate

Fighting Illini men's golf will close regular season play this weekend at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate. Hosted by Ohio State University, the two-day, 54-hole event will take place at The Ohio State University Golf Club in Columbus, Ohio.

"This tournament has a great history, and we've played there in the past," head coach Mike Small said. "The course is hosting an NCAA Regional next year, so we will have a chance to see the course in advance. There will be some very good Big Ten teams and some good regional teams in the field, so we need to go out and compete, and build momentum for the Big Ten Championships next week."

The Illini will join 14 other teams on the 7,455 yard, Par 71 Scarlet Course, April 22-23. The teams will play two rounds on Saturday, beginning with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. CT. The final round will continue on Sunday, with tee times beginning at 7 a.m. CT.

Joining 10th-ranked Illinois in the tournament field will be Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Iowa, No. 12 Kent State, Miami (OH), No. 40 Michigan State, Nebraska, Northern Illinois, Ohio State, Penn State and Rutgers.

Live scoring for the tournament will be available on Golfstat, and a recap will be posted following each day of play. Fans can also check in to @IlliniMGolf on Twitter for more live updates.
