Paul started the season strong, but over his last 10 games for the Spurs, Paul has averaged just 9.4 Minutes, 2.6 Points, 1.1 Rebounds and 0.9 Assists per Game. Illini not playing in the NBA...

Stats for the Illini playing in leagues other than the NBA can be tough to find on a game by game basis, but I will be working on finding sources to hopefully provide game stats in future weeks. So, onto the Illini who are continuing their playing careers outside the NBA.

Maverick Morgan

Morgan is currently playing for GTK Gliwice in Poland, and he is averaging 14.6 points , 5.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. Morgan’s best game this season came on December 3rd, where he scored 21 points, with 6 rebounds and 2 assists. On December 10th, Morgan had a down week, scoring just 4 points, while pulling in 2 rebounds and 1 assist. He bounced back just a few days later on December 13th, scoring 18 points, with 7 rebounds and 1 assist.

Malcolm Hill

Hill is currently playing for Telekom Baskets Bonn in Germany, and is averaging 10.2 points, 0.8 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game. In his most recent game, on December 12th, Hill scored 6 points, while securing 2 rebounds and 2 assists in 23 minutes of play. Hill has mostly served as an asset off the bench this season, and recently has not been getting as many minutes as earlier this season.

Tracy Abrams

Abrams is currently playing for APOP Paphou in Cyprus, and is averaging 16.9 points, 6.1assists, and 6.9 rebounds per game. Abrams has been a big asset for his team, starting each of their 8 games thus far. Unfortunately his contributions have not been very fruitful, as APOP Paphou sits in last place with a 1-7 record. On December 3rd, Abrams scored 27 points, with 8 rebounds and 9 assists. On December 10th, Abrams once again scored 27 points, this time pulling down 7 rebounds and 3 assists. On the 13th, he scored 19 points, with 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

James Augustine

Augustine is currently playing for Unicaja Malaga in Spain, and is averaging 6.8 points, 0.9 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game. Augustine has split his time as a starter and bench player this season, starting 7 of the teams’ 21 games. On December 10th, Augustine saw 17 minutes, scoring 8 points with 5 rebounds. On the 7th, he played 25 minutes, with 2 rebounds and 1 assist. On the 3rd, Augustine had one of his better games of the season, scoring 5 points, while pulling down 9 rebounds and 1 assist.

Cory Bradford

Bradford, 38 (!!), is currently playing for Bosna-Royal in Bosnia, and is averaging 10.8 points, 1.8 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game. Bradford, who has mostly been in the starting lineup this season, had 10 points, with 4 rebounds and 2 assists on December 9th. On the 5th, Bradford scored 17 points in 29 minutes, while recording 3 rebounds and 2 assists. On the 2nd, Bradford saw 32 minutes of play, scoring 21 points, with 6 rebounds and 3 assists.

Nnanna Egwu

Egwu is currently playing for the Cairns Taipans in Australia, and is averaging 5.1 points, 2.1 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game. Egwu has started 13 of his teams 14 games this season. On December 9th, Egwu played 14 minutes, scoring 4 points, with 4 rebounds and 1 assist. On the 2nd, Egwu had a slightly better game, scoring 6 points, with 6 rebounds and 3 assists.

Demetri McCamey

McCamey is currently palying for Fortituto Kontatto Bologna in Italy, and is averaging 12.9 points, 2.2 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game. McCamey has started all 11 games thus far this season. On December 10th, McCamey played for 24 minutes, scoring 5 points, with 3 rebounds and 3 assists. On the 3rd, he say 30 minutes of action, scoring 18 points, with 1 rebound and 1 assist.

Rayvonte Rice

Rice is currently playing for Orasi Ravenna in Italy, and is averaging 18.4 points, 1.3 assists and 6.0 rebounds per game. Rice has been a big asset to his team this season, starting all 11 games, while leading the teams in Points Per Game and Steals Per Game. In his last game, Rice played for 30 minutes, scoring 28 points, with 7 rebounds and 1 assist. On the 3rd, Rice saw 32 minutes of action, scoring 16 points, pulling down 6 rebounds and 2 assists.

DJ Richardson

In 8 games this season for S. Oliver Wuerzburg in Germany, Richardson averaged 4.1 Points, 0.2 Assists and 1.8 Rebounds per game. Richardson is now playing for BM Slam Stal Ostrow WLKP in Poland, where he has averaged 11.8 Points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist per game. On December 13th, Richardson had his best game of the season, scoring 17 points, with 7 rebounds and 1 assist. In the game prior to that, on the 9th, Richardson scored 9 points.

Jaylon Tate

Tate is currently playing for the Niagara River Lions in Canada, and is averaging 8.5 Points, 5.0 Assists and 2.0 Rebounds per game. Tate has yet to reach the starting lineup this season, but surprisingly has been a valuable asset off the bench. Yesterday, Tate saw 28 minutes on the court, scoring 2 points, with 6 assists. On December 9th, Tate recorded 15 points, with 5 assists and 2 rebounds. The day before, on the 8th, he had 6 points, with 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

In looking at the Illinois alumni, many of them have been making very solid contributions, just not in the NBA. I will be the first to admit that it is surprising seeing Cory Bradford still playing, and especially seeing players like Jaylon Tate be solid contributors to their teams.
