Brandon Paul
Paul is averaging 14.1 minutes, 1.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game for the San Antonio Spurs.
On Oct. 27, Paul saw 21 minutes of action, scoring 5 Points, and having 1 Assist and 2 Rebounds in the Spurs’ 114-87 loss to the Magic.
On Oct. 29, Paul again saw 21 minutes of play time, scoring 6 points, and had 0 assists and 2 rebounds. Paul also had 3 steals in the Spurs’ 97-94 loss against the Pacers.
On Oct. 30, Paul had his best game so far this season, playing 30 minutes and scoring 18 points, while recording 5 rebounds and 1 assist in the Spurs’ 108-94 loss to the Celtics.
On Nov. 2, Paul played 21 minutes, and scored 1 point, with 1 assist and no rebounds in the Spurs’ 112-92 loss to the Warriors.
Paul is currently the only Illini alum playing in the NBA due to the injury to Meyers Leonard.
Meyers Leonard
Leonard is currently in his fifth season with the Portland Trailblazers. In the two games he played this season, he averaged 5.5 Points Per Game, 0 Assists Per Game, and 3.0 Rebounds Per Game. Leonard unfortunately suffered a right lateral ankle sprain and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks of the season.
Illini not playing in the NBA...
Stats for the Illini playing in leagues other than the NBA can be tough to find on a game by game basis, but I will be working on finding sources to hopefully provide game stats in future weeks. So, onto the Illini who are continuing their playing careers outside the NBA.
Maverick Morgan
Morgan is currently playing for GTK Gliwice in Poland, and he is averaging 14.6 points , 6.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game.
Malcolm Hill
Hill is currently playing for Telekom Baskets Bonn in Germany, and is averaging 20.8 points, 0.8 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game.
Tracy Abrams
Abrams is currently playing for APOP Paphou in Cyprus, and is averaging 13.5 points, 3 assists, and 6.5 rebounds per game.
James Augustine
Augustine is currently playing for Unicaja Malaga in Spain, and is averaging 6.5 points, 1.3 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game.
Cory Bradford
Bradford, 38 (!!), is currently playing for Bosna-Royal in Bosnia, and is averaging 3.3 points, 2.7 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game.
Nnana Egwu
Egwu is currently playing for the Cairns Taipans in Australia, and is averaging 5.6 points, 2.1 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game.
Demetry McCamey
McCamey is currently palying for Fortituto Kontatto Bologna in Italy, and is averaging 13.2 points, 2.2 assists and 2 rebounds per game.
Brian Randle
Randle is currently playing for the New Basket Brindisi in Italy and is averaging 8.4 points, 4.6 assists, and 1.6 rebounds per game.
Rayvonte Rice
Rice is currently playing for Orasi Ravenna in Italy, and is averaging 16.2 points, 1 assists and 5.8 rebounds per game.
DJ Richardson
In one game this season for S. Oliver Wuerzburg in Germany, Richardson scored 5 points and grabbed 2 rebounds.
Jaylon Tate
Tate is currently signed to play for the Niagara River Lions in Canada, who have yet to begin their season.
