Finke, 6-foot-6, is currently a senior at Champaign Central High School.
A three-star shooting guard, Finke held offers from Big Ten schools like Illinois, Ohio State and Indiana early in 2017, but a disappointing summer on the AAU circuit scared away several schools.
Grand Canyon is a for-profit Christian university in a Phoenix.
Illinois and Grand Canyon play for the first time at the State Farm Center on Dec. 30.
Morgan Park (Chicago) point guard Ayo Dosunmu is currently the only signing the Illini have in the class of 2018.
