As expected, Fighting Illini football has made the cut for three-star wide receiver Reggie Roberson (TX). The former Kansas commit released an updated college list on Thursday that included Illinois, Utah, West Virginia, Washington State, and Oregon State in addition to the Jayhawks. According to 247Sports, Roberson is rated as the nation’s No. 753 overall prospect and No. 109 receiver.
Illinois offensive coordinator Garrick McGee was in Texas on Thursday night to conduct an in-home visit with Roberson and his family. Additionally, fellow three-star WR and Illinois commit Ricky Smalling (IL) was in Dallas a few weeks ago to train 6-foot, 180-pound playmaker.
Roberson already took an official visit to Champaign on October 7; other trips have so far been scheduled to Washington State (January 13) and Utah (January 20) ahead of National Signing Day.
