Fighting Illini football will be hosting a Kansas commit for an official visit early next month. Three-star wide receiver Reggie Roberson (TX) announced on Wednesday that he’ll be taking an official visit to Champaign during the weekend of October 7, which coincides with Illinois’ game against Purdue.
Roberson is rated as the No. 709 player in the country by 247Sports, and his other notable offers are from Indiana, Bowling Green, and Louisiana Tech.

While Roberson committed to the Jayhawks on May 17, the Illini coaching staff hasn’t been shy about their interest. Their pursuit makes sense, too, because Roberson’s speed on the outside is something that the program sorely needs.
