One of Fighting Illini football’s top secondary targets is on the verge of revealing his college choice. Three-star cornerback Tony Adams (MO) tweeted that he’ll be making his decision on Friday, though no exact time has been specified. Additionally, Illini Inquirer’s Jeremy Werner has reported that the choice will be either Illinois or Missouri. Adams is rated as the No. 1078 player in the country (No. 8 player from Missouri).
I will be committing tomorrow…

Adams has other scholarships on the table from Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Illinois State, North Dakota State, Wyoming, South Dakota, Southeast Missouri State, and Southern Illinois.
Illinois became the first Power 5 school to offer Adams after he impressed the coaching staff at their St. Louis satellite camp. The 6-foot, 185-pound prospect has since taken visits to both Champaign and Columbia this Summer.
Illinois only has two defensive commitments lined up for the class-of-2017, so a pledge from Adams would go a long way towards strengthening that side of the ball.
