Fighting Illini basketball is still in the running for four-star center Victor Uyaelunmo. The Florida native tweeted out his top eight schools on Saturday afternoon; the list also included Florida, Miami, Southern Cal, Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt, and Connecticut. Uyaelunmo is the No. 103 overall player in 247Sports' class-of-2017 composite rankings.

Good sign for #Illini to make cut w/ 2017 big man @victorivve. Potential immediate infusion of length & athleticism in versatile frontcourt.

Illinois still has three available scholarships to use on 2017 recruits, and it appears the coaching staff is pushing to use one of those spots on another big man. In addition to Uyaelumo, the Illini have been involved with four-star center Theo John and three-star forward Mayan Kiir. John recently narrowed his list to six schools, although the commitment of five-star prospect Jeremiah Tilmon may eventually push him towards another program.
