Fighting Illini football received some more good recruiting news on Thursday. Former Iowa commit Juan Harris became the latest player to mention the Orange and Blue after trimming his list to seven Power 5 programs. Harris also included Nebraska, Minnesota, Indiana, Penn State, Louisville, and Michigan State as his other preliminary finalists.

Depending on which recruiting website you look at, Harris ranges anywhere from a two-star to a four-star prospect. The 247Sports' composite rankings have the 6-foot-4, 370-pound lineman slotted as the No. 820 overall player (three-star territory) in the class-of-2017. Harris' Scout profile also indicates that he had additional scholarship offers from Michigan, Texas, Tennessee, Utah, and Vanderbilt.

Harris participated in Illinois' Chicago satellite camp on June 3, and that was likely a factor in his most recent decommitment from Iowa. Which, if you're keeping track at home, is the third time that Harris has had such a change of heart with the Hawkeyes.
