Curl is rated as the No. 1269 player (No. 97 athlete) in 247Sports' class-of-2017 composite rankings. He has other scholarship offers from Cincinnati, SMU, Kansas, Toledo, and Tulsa. According to his HUDL page, the Oklahoma native has verified measurables that include a 4.56 forty-yard dash, a 4.15 shuttle, and a 36.3'' vertical leap.
Highlights
The Fighting Illini already have verbal commitments from in-state receivers Ricky Smalling and Kendall Smith, but the coaching staff may be looking to add another 2-3 in this class. The program's future depth and playmaking ability at the position isn't the best, and it's not even a guarantee that Mikey Dudek will return to 100% after consecutive season-ending injuries.
