Bovada has released their first set of odds for the 2017 NCAA basketball championship. The Duke Blue Devils (9/2) have been listed as the favorite, ahead of Kentucky (6/1) and the newly-crowned Villanova Wildcats (8/1).
The Michigan State Spartans (12/1) headline five Big Ten teams that have been given 33/1 odds or better; the others are Indiana (20/1), Wisconsin (25/1), Maryland (33/1), and Purdue (33/1).
Illinois has opened with 250/1 odds to take home the title. That, obviously, means now is the ideal time to bet the house* because your return won't be as massive when the Fighting Illini are gearing up for a No. 1 seed next March.
