According to ESPN's Jeff Goodman, former Virginia Tech guard Jalen Hudson is the latest transfer to pick up interest from John Groce and the Fighting Illini. The 6-foot-5, 195-pound sophomore would have two years of eligibility remaining after sitting out the 2016-17 season.
Transfer Jalen Hudson told ESPN has been contacted by: Purdue, Fla, UNLV, Butler, Creighton, Auburn, Ill., VCU, Richmond, Dayton, Tenn, Cal

There appear to be some minor discrepancies in Hudson's stats, but according to Virginia Tech's website he averaged 8.4 points and 2.3 rebounds while shooting 40.1% from the field (34.6 3PT%) last season. Hudson scored a season-high 27 points against No. 16 Louisville on January 27; he also had 23 points and 14 points against North Carolina State and No. 2 North Carolina, respectively. You can view his complete 2015-16 game log right here (again, not sure how accurate that is).
Goodman also reported that Louisiana Tech transfer Merrill Holden has expressed interest in Illinois. The 6-foot-8 big man averaged 8.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks as a junior while shooting 51.6% from the field (71.4 FT%); he'd be immediately eligible as a graduate transfer.
