Illinois hires Houston Texans assistant Bob Ligashesky as Special Teams Coordinator, Tight Ends Coach

Lovie Smith has found his new Special Teams Coordinator. Fighting Illini football just announced the addition former Houston Texans assistant Bob Ligashesky to the coaching staff. Ligashesky, who will also be the Tight Ends coach at Illinois, has 31 years of coaching experience (19 years at the collegiate level and 12 in NFL).

"Bob Ligashesky has been one of the outstanding special teams coaches in the nation for many years. He brings in an incredible amount of experience at both the collegiate and professional levels, and earned a reputation as a terrific recruiter when he was at Bowling Green and Pittsburgh prior to his career in the NFL."
