Illinois' season may be over, but that evidently isn't stopping the program from making headlines off the court. On Saturday morning, junior point guard Jaylon Tate was arrested for domestic battery; he's scheduled for an appearance in bond court at 10:30am CT.

Tate averaged 1.9 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game while shooting 36.7% from the field (18.2% from 3PT) this past season.
Tate is the third member of the Illini to be arrested in the past year. Junior forward Leron Black was suspended indefinitely last month after being charged with felony assault for threatening a bouncer with a knife at an Urbana nightclub.
Darius Paul was arrested and charged with vandalism, public intoxication, and reisisting arrest in France last Summer during the program's foreign exhibition trip; he was kicked off the team for a second time shortly thereafter.
Just under 25% of Illinois' basketball's scholarship players were arrested this past year.
