Illinois football just narrowly lost out on a talented offensive lineman. Three-star offensive tackle Trevour Simms (East St. Louis, IL) has officially become a member of the Missouri Tigers on Wednesday morning after what was a particularly strange recruitment.
The six-foot-five, 290 lb. prospect originally committed to Illinois back in June, but he underwent several changes of heart. After taking an official visit to Missouri in December, Simms proceeded to flip from the Illini to the Tigers, and then back to Illinois all within about 48 hours. His commitment status had obviously been up in the air since then.
Simms, who's rated as the No. 27 overall player from the state of Illinois by 247Sports, was also receiving interest from the likes of Boston College, Iowa, Iowa State, Louisville, and Purdue.
